CEA & Mitsubishi Chemical Performance Polymers demonstrate compelling results of a novel frontsheet for lightweight PV applications, compatible with European supplying. This innovated material is formulated without PFAS raw material intentionally added.

The CEA at INES has a strong expertise on lightweight photovoltaic modules together with state-of-the-art experimental platform to support PV module development and pre-qualification for specific applications.

Mitsubishi Chemical group is a GLOBAL leading company FOR CUSTOMIZED SOLUTIONS & PERFORMANCE SPECIALTY POLYMERS.

Light PV panels prepared with MCPP material technology polymer as frontsheet displayed very good results with the summary below:

PV Modules integrating MCPP frontsheet material meet the target application's general specifications in terms of PV norms & robustness (such as thermal cycling, humidity, thermal behavior, damp heat …), while demonstrating ability to lightness capability, compatibility with 3D designs!

This material formulated without PFAS additives intentionally added is a very promising polymer candidate for lightweight PV modules.

Mitsubishi Chemical group DEPLOY THE KAITEKI PRINCIPLES, FOR THE SUSTAINABLE WELL BEING OF PEOPLE, SOCIETY AND OUR PLANET EARTH.
