The INES’s first building on the Savoie Technolac solar and eco-industries technology park opened in 2005. The institute’s expansion will be completed in 2011, at which time it will have 250 employees and a truly European outreach. By 2013, INES will employ more than 500 staff on a 22,000-m² campus.

• PUMA 4, a thin films research center that will be completed by the end of 2010;
• and INES’s flagship building and new headquarters, which will be handed over in 2012.
